Key Ingredients

Ginger
→ This mighty ingredient has been long valued as a home remedy for aiding the immune system, supporting heart health and boosting the digestive system.

Marigold (Calendula Officinalis)
→ Marigold is just as beneficial as it is stunning—it’s been said to help with relaxation, digestive health and liver function.

Fenugreek
→ Fenugreek is an extra nutritive spice that has been traditionally used to enhance wellbeing and support the immune system and digestive system.

Cramp bark
→ A longstanding legend in the herbalist community — cramp bark has been used for centuries as a well-known plant remedy.

Motherwort
→ Motherwort has been used to support menstruation, heart health and nervous system health — what a trifecta.

Dong Quai
→ Dong Quai, or Chinese Angelica, is a Chinese herb that has been traditionally used to support wellness.

Thiamine, also known as vitamin B1
→ Think of thiamine as your personal energizer bunny—it contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism, normal psychological function and normal functioning of the nervous system.

Vitamin B6
→ Consider thiamine and vitamin B6 cousins. Similarly to thiamine, vitamin B6 contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism, normal psychological function, regulation of hormonal activity and the normal function of the immune system. Need we say more?

Vitamin B12
→ We’ve got a bit of an overachiever here—vitamin B12 contributes to the normal functioning of the immune and nervous systems and reduction of tiredness and fatigue, all while contributing to normal red blood cells formation. You definitely want this powerful player on your team.

Iron
→ We know you’re no stranger to iron. This essential mineral contributes to normal cognitive function, normal oxygen transport in the body, reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and normal formation of red blood cells.

Iodine
→ Your thyroid and skin are iodine’s biggest fans. It contributes to maintenance of normal skin, normal production of thyroid hormones and normal thyroid function. Iodine, you’re a dime plus 99.

Magnesium
→ Magnesium is the greatest all-around player. Not only does it contribute to normal muscle function and maintenance of normal bones and teeth, it also contributes to reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and normal functioning of the nervous system. MVP status.

Zinc
→ This mineral contributes to normal cognitive function, fertility and reproduction, as well as the maintenance of normal bones, hair, nails and skin.

Hi Agnes! So sorry you didn't love the taste - it's super gingery and we love putting it in a hot herbal tea which tastes lovely. We've just sent you a little message privately too x

    Works!

Honestly, thought this would b e a fad - I have had the lightest cramps I've had so far this year, and I only tried it in my water once. As recommended, I did 4 pipettes into a large glass of water, and whilst I think the taste would be better with hot water/ in tea, it was easy enough to drink and I genuinely had a better cramp experience. I'm actually shocked it worked lol, especially as I only used it once at the beginning of my period and didn't have to again! Might be a fluke, but will defo try again next month.

    Didn't work for me

I saw all the great reviews and was hopeful, but for me it didn't work. It's also quite a small bottle for how much you're supposed to use - works out at just over 10 servings which makes it pretty costly especially if you want two a day. Almost £25 per period!

I will say I think it has a really nice taste. I had it with plain hot water so it was like a herbal tea.

Hi Katie! I'm so sorry to hear that you didn't feel that Yin + Tonic worked for you - which symptoms were you specifically looking for support with? For the best results with yin + tonic, we'd recommend taking it daily for a few days leading up to your period, and during your period, giving your body the best chance at getting your key vitamins and minerals replenished - ideally over multiple cycles. If you can let us know specifically the symptoms you are looking for relief from then we can try and match you with the best product for support! Lots of love, team ohne x

It actually helps my awful cramps

I suffer pretty badly with dysmenorrhea and have tried so many products over the years, hoping they would do something, but was always disappointed. Yin and tonic is now part of my essential kit of period products

    Finally, something that helps!

For as long as I can remember having a period (whilst off of chemical birth control, at least) I get debilitating cramps for the first two days, and typically always a super painful sharp pain that occurs right before my period starts, and one right as it ends. This is to say that I don't love the experience!! Having gone vegan (7 years), quit coffee, stopped drinking unfiltered water, avoided fatty food, sugar, and alcohol - all to try and relieve the cramps... they still remained, and it led me to seriously dread the start of each month. Well today is the second day of my second period taking the Yin & Tonic and I'm impressed. I work for a company that produces similar produces (medicinal plant remedies for anxiety + sleep (google sofi.health if you're curious)) but we use very high concentrations in our sprays and they also have to be taken every day throughout the month to build up in your system, so I was skeptical that Yin & Tonic only asked to be taken when in immediate pain, or the day(s) before your cramps will begin. But it WORKED! I don't love the taste, so I add it to a drink with lots of flavour, or chase it with apple juice etc like a shot, but no sharp pain to signal the beginning of my period and the cramps have lessened so much that I hardly notice they're there. I usually get soreness in my boobs mid month, but this month that wasn't there either. It was a peaceful and painfree experience to get my period this month, and for that I will definitely be a…
